Hayride | Tri-Thermal Nail Polish

Toffee (warm) to brick red to dark brown (cold) tri-thermal polish with a purple red gold green aurora flake and a tiny bit of fairy sparkle.

Inspiration

The autumn wind carried three fairies - Maple, Ember, and Clover - across the White Mountains of New Hampshire, drawn by rumors of spectacular fall foliage. Spotting a rustic farm below, they shrunk themselves to pinprick size and nestled into a little girl’s jacket pocket just as a tractor pulled a hay-filled wagon forward.

As the hayride creaked along winding paths through orchards and blazing maples, the fairies watched in wonder. The leaves shimmered and danced in the fading light, their colors shifting with the cooling evening - purple shadows deepening to fuschia, blazing through red and orange, glinting gold and green as the last rays of sun caught their edges.

“The colors keep changing as the temperature drops,” Ember whispered. “Warm golds cooling to deep burgundies.” Clover added breathlessly, “And that shimmer - like an aurora trapped in each leaf.”

That night in their traveling workshop, the fairies ground autumn leaves with starlight and captured the very essence of temperature change in liquid form. By dawn, they had created something extraordinary: a nail polish that shifted like the hayride itself. Brown as rich earth when cold, warming to the red-brown of aged barn wood, then glowing toffee-bright in the warmest temperatures, all threaded through with aurora flakes that shimmered purple to fuschia to red to orange to gold to green.

They called it Hayride. Soon, mortals across the world were wearing a piece of that magical New Hampshire autumn on their fingertips, and on quiet evenings, if you looked very carefully at your polish as it shifted from warm to cool, you might just catch the reflection of three tiny fairies, smiling at their handiwork.
