Inspiration

The fairies were getting absolutely fed up with the endless rain that's been hammering New Hampshire for weeks - they hadn't seen proper sunlight in forever and were starting to get cabin fever. During one particularly soggy evening, they cranked up Prince's "Purple Rain" and started an impromptu dance party in their makeshift indoor studio. "You know what?" shouted Maple over the music, "if we're stuck with all this rain, we might as well make something fabulous out of it!" They created this moody solar polish that stays soft pink during their gloomy indoor days but bursts into vibrant color the second any actual sunlight appears, complete with all the purple and green shimmer of a proper storm. It's their middle finger to the weather gods, set to a Prince soundtrack.

Application

Best with 3 coats for max opacity. Add a coat of Glasswing Glaze to make it really shine.

For best results, use one of our base and top coats, as some other brands have UV-blocking ingredients that will kill the solar effect. 

Note that this should be stored out of direct sunlight and not exposed to extreme temperatures to make it last as long as possible.

Solar polishes work best with a UV index over 5. Under that, they may not shift at all, or the shift may be slight. You'll notice the most dramatic changes in midday sunlight.
