Cold Snap | Thermal Nail Polish

A green to red thermal with a bright blue aurora shimmer and a tiny bit of fairy sparkle.

Inspiration

Tansy was gathering early morning dew when an unexpected freeze hit - a sudden cold snap that turned the autumn dawn crystalline. She gasped as frost crept across the meadow in seconds, and there, caught mid-bloom, was a wild red trillium frozen in perfect suspended animation. The flower seemed trapped between seasons, its petals shifting impossibly between vibrant purple-red at its frozen core and cool blue-green at its frost-kissed edges.

As Tansy approached it, the aurora borealis overhead cast dancing light across the ice crystals, painting the frozen bloom with streaks of shimmering blue, while the last unfrozen dew drops clung like green glitter to its petals. It was beautiful and haunting - summer's warmth locked in winter's embrace.

Back in her workshop, Tansy worked quickly, knowing such magic was fleeting. She captured the thermal shock in liquid form, bottling the exact moment warm met cold, life met stillness. 

The result was Cold Snap: a polish that blazed vibrant purple-red in the cold like that flower’s frozen heart, then shifted to cool blue-green in warmth like frost melting away, all shimmering with blue aurora and scattered green glitter like those final drops of dew.

When she painted it on her own tiny nails and stepped between the warm cottage and the cold morning air, watching the colors dance and shift, Tanzy smiled. She had captured the impossible - that breathless moment when seasons collide and beauty hangs suspended between two worlds.
