A thermal lacquer nail polish that changes color depending on the temperature of your nails. Black-red when cold to a blood red when warm with a scattering of red, black and red/black microchrome flakes, black holo reflective glitter, and red holo glitter.

The ledger was very specific: one chalice of pure, solemn mortal blood. Joni offered a finger prick. The collectors wanted considerably more.
So the fairies decided to fake it, and Dahlia celebrated the plan by dancing on the counters. That's how an entire spice cabinet of microflakes and holo glitter ended up in the kettle. Solemn was off the table. So was pure.
The underworld runs cold, though, and cold it stays clotted and black, convincingly grim. The moment human warmth touches it, fresh arterial red floods through every sparkle.
