Inspiration

The fairies have this complicated relationship with the local mermaids - they're technically friends but also constantly trying to one-up each other. When the mermaids started bragging about their "exclusive" new teal scales that change color underwater, the fairies rolled their eyes so hard they nearly sprained something. "Please," scoffed Coral, "we can do that AND make it work on land." They whipped up this solar polish that shifts from regular teal to deep teal in sunlight, then added a green-to-purple aurora shimmer just to show off. Now every time the mermaids surface and see someone wearing it, they get visibly annoyed, which honestly makes the whole thing even better.

Application

Best with 3 coats for max opacity. Add a coat of Glasswing Glaze to make it really shine.

For best results, use one of our base and top coats, as some other brands have UV-blocking ingredients that will kill the solar effect. 

Note that this should be stored out of direct sunlight and not exposed to extreme temperatures to make it last as long as possible.

Solar polishes work best with a UV index over 5. Under that, they may not shift at all, or the shift may be slight. You'll notice the most dramatic changes in midday sunlight.
